According to Gulf Today, an Indian expatriate experienced a life-changing moment, becoming a millionaire, while another individual drove home a Mercedes Benz after their ticket numbers were selected in the Dubai Duty Free raffle on Tuesday.
Praveen Aranha, employed as a management accountant at Atlantis The Palm, clinched a remarkable $1 million prize with ticket number 3969 in the Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire and Finest Surprise promotions at Concourse A – Terminal 3 of Dubai International Airport. Having resided in Dubai for 16 years, Aranha has actively participated in Dubai Duty Free’s promotions for 15 years. Sharing the winning ticket with two colleagues who contributed equally to the ticket price, Aranha expressed his intention to allocate a portion of the prize money towards his daughter’s higher education.
He mentioned, “I will save a portion for my daughter’s education who is currently in the United States studying business administration,” as reported by Gulf Today. Aranha is the 151st Indian national to secure the million-dollar prize in the Duty Free raffle since its initiation in 1999.
In a separate win, Ronni Thomas, a 40-year-old Indian national residing in Sharjah, celebrated winning a Mercedes Benz S560 (Diamond White) in Series 1732 with ticket number 1262.
